I woke up this morning with a stiff neck and headachy feeling and such a tight forehead. Never a nice feeling to wake up to! It was a muscle induced headache and I knew just what to reach for and I’m glad i did! My muscle ease balm got straight in there, helping to relieve the tightness and tension at the back of the head and it took only around 10 minutes for my headache to begin to go. I am sensitive to my essential oils so I am always quick to react to them.

It’s wonderful though when you can feel that headache lifting and the head becoming easier.
It’s summer over here in India but were fortunate that it has been a mild summer, hovering between 32 – 40 degrees and with plenty of rain. Here in Rajasthan it can get up to 45 degrees c in the summer so it makes a difference when the weather is cooler.
Still, even at those temperatures it can be hard on the skin and hair and as Rajasthan is a dry state, the skin and hair do take a battering and can get very dry. We’ve seen an increase in our hair oils being sold as customers reach for something to nourish and moisturise their frazzled locks. I’m no different and with my dry and wavy hair my hair needs plenty of moisture and it always loves the oil.

We’ve got a wonderful range of hair oils available. For myself, I largely prefer to use ‘Hair Healing’ as it ‘s the one that really does the job for me. It contains castor oil and avocado oil , both oils are rich oils that help to coat the hair and my hair soaks them up and I find my waves are more defined.
Our face oils are always popular and you might be surprised to know that you can use oil on the face even in summer. Due to the light and non comedogenic (pore clogging) oils our ‘Face tonic’ is perfect. Light, fresh with the rose and vetiver scent it’s locking in that moisture when applied to damp skin and prevents that dry feeling typical of this summer heat.

I’ve been using my second favourite lip balm (I can’t resist the vanilla and cardamom flavour!). It’s the fresh and uplifting spearmint flavour which I think is just right for summer and helps soften and retain the moisture in this harsh heat.

So there you go, my summer break down of the Indi-ssentials products I’ve been using recently!
